Daisy Joy Escapes
Mark Ellis of Daisy Joy Escapes gave us a few words regarding our work on the Eskdale Retreat.
The Location
We have recently completed the restoration and renovation of Eskdale Retreat, in the beautiful Western Lake District. This large property is a luxury holiday let, sleeping 16 people.
The property is targeted at discerning families and groups who love luxury but also wish to escape the madding crowd and indulge in outdoor activities, such as hiking, wild swimming, cycling, Pilates and yoga.
Having completed the restoration of the property, the icing on the cake was to build a super cool “Zen Den” in the garden, for multiple uses including Pilates, yoga, other retreat activities and games.
It was important for us to ensure that the design of this garden building matched the high standards and style of the main house, with a natural and cool Scandi feel, whilst also hitting our very challenging budget.

Tür Offen were happy to work with our architect to deliver his design and liaised with him effectively during the design and build process.
The prefabricated nature of the Tür Offen building meant that installation on site was exceptionally fast.
As with any building project, we had changes and challenges during construction. Tür Offen dealt with all such issues positively, constructively and in a cost-efficient manner.
We are pleased with the end product, which has been positively received by our clients. Indeed, we quickly secured new bookings from an internationally based retreat business as a direct result.
